The Institute's educational programs
 

A-Morning program (Full-time)
This program aims at preparing students to acquire skills in understanding the Arabic language, improve their oral, written and reading skills and explain the Arab culture and Islamic civilization.

Period of study: Two years.
Educational levels: Four levels, each level for 25 weeks
Designated number of hours: 20 hours per week distributed over the educational curriculum.
Educational certificates awarded to learners in the full-time program:
1- Language diploma (one-year system) after passing the second level.
2- Language diploma (two-year system) after passing the fourth level.
3- Recommendation. This gives the opportunity for students who have obtained their diploma (two-year system) with very good performance to continue their studies in the Imam Mohamed Bin Saud University or its affiliates.

B- Evening program (Part-time)
It aims at preparing students to understand the Arabic language and the correct manner of speech, taking into consideration their availability.

Period of study: One year and a half.
Educational levels: Three levels, each level for 15 weeks
Designated number of hours: Six hours per week distributed over three days a week.
Educational certificate awarded to learners in the part-time program:
1- Certificate (attendance statement) after completion of the part-time program.
2- Language diploma (one-year system) after passing the second level.

C- Strengthening classes
It is a program aimed at assisting the children of diplomats, envoys and delegates to Japan. It is affiliated with the Malaysian academy. This is open to both male and female students from the primary to the secondary level of study.


 

 
The Institute's contributions to the Japanese society
 

1- Cultural activities:
The Institute organizes and holds conferences, seminars and various lectures. It invites professors, thinkers, academics and specialists in various fields to its activities. Some of these activities include a seminar on culture and Saudi-Japanese relations, the petroleum and Saudi economy seminar, seminars about Islam in Japan, and a satellite video conference between Saudi members of the scientific club and its Japanese counterparts.

2- The Institute cooperates with other educational and academic foundations and Japanese companies to introduce comprehensive programs about Arab Islamic civilization and the Saudi legacy. For example, a symposium for businessmen was held in coordination with the Middle East Studies Center as well as a seminar on tourism in cooperation with the Saudi Airlines.

3- Lectures for Japanese Moslems and Islamic associations are held during Ramadan and holidays in coordination with Imam Mohamed Bin Saud University, Japanese Moslems Society and the World Symposium of Islamic Youth.



 
Student activities
 

1- Organizing camps for students under the supervision of some Saudi students delegated to Japan, which include delivering speeches in Arabic where all students participate. There are also lectures concerning ways of learning the Arabic language and about Islamic civilization.

2- Dividing activities in the Institute into sections as follows:
・ Translation section
・ Library section
・ Arabic calligraphy section
・ Computer section
・ Arabic cooking section

3- Organizing weekly lessons about Islamic civilization for male and female Japanese students.

4- Receiving student delegates from various universities and schools and giving them a true picture about Islam and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
